A subsidiary of the public utility and environmental business enterprise Ecoservice, member of City Service Group, has begun providing waste management services to Neringa Municipality. An agreement with the Klaipėda Regional Waste Management Centre was signed for a 5-year term. The value of the agreement is LTL 1.890 million. “In recent years, modern waste management systems have been actively implemented and tenders have been announced to select waste managers in different regions of the country. Seeing these beneficial conditions for business expansion, our company is actively participating and will continue to participate in these tenders”, Saulius Budrevičius, Ecoservive general manager, said. In 2008, Ecoservice won a waste management tender announced by Širvintos Municipal Government. The value of the 5-year agreement is almost LTL 3 mullion. Last year, another subsidiary of Ecoservice finalised a 5-year agreement with Varėna District Government. The value of the agreement is LTL 6.650 million. Ecoservice operates according to an integrated quality and environmental protection management system complying with the international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004. Ecoservice and its subsidiaries operate throughout Lithuania in the cities of Vilnius and Klaipėda and in the districts of Trakai, Šilutė, Širvintos, Pagėgiai, and Varėna. Companies of the group collect, sort, and prepare household waste for processing and provide other services. On 5 January 2010, Ecoservice was taken over by the facility management group City Service. The City Service group comprises 30 facility management companies operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia, and Ukraine.
