Mogreet, Hot 97 and Power 106 Bring Mobile Video Marketing to Radio Ads for Forthcoming "Valentine's Day"

Trailer for Star-Studded Romantic Comedy Delivered Directly to Mobile Phones

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 12, 2010) -  Mogreet -- the leader in mobile video marketing -- today announced a partnership with bi-costal hip-hop radio stations Hot 97 and Power 106 to promote New Line Cinema's upcoming film "Valentine's Day," which opens February 12th, through a mobile viral video campaign. Featuring a litany of stars -- Ashton Kutcher, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Taylor Swift and Jamie Foxx -- "Valentine's Day" will be promoted on both radio stations through promotional announcements encouraging listeners to send "'Valentine's Day' Mobile Video Greeting Cards" to their friends' cell phones. Each greeting card features a clip from "Valentine's Day" and a special holiday message. Six different clips and cards will be available for sharing on each station's website from February 8 to February 14, 2010. With Mogreet's cutting-edge mobile video marketing technology, the mobile "Valentine's Day" video will be accessible to over 200 million cell phone users across the country, regardless of their carrier -- feature phones and smart phones alike.

The entertainment industry is increasingly looking towards mobile marketing in order to connect with viewers on an intimate level. As text messaging has become ubiquitous across all age demographics -- young and old alike -- engaging moviegoers via their cell phones will become the preferred means of direct marketing.

"Mogreet is a very effective marketing partner for radio ads, especially for a movie like 'Valentine's Day,'" commented James Citron, CEO, Mogreet. "Not only will the mobile component add a call-to-action to the radio spot, but it will enable a visual, video dimension to an otherwise audio-based advertisement. Video sells video, after all."

In addition to each station's 40 on-air promotional announcements for the Mogreet-powered "Valentine's Day" campaign, New York's Hot 97 and Los Angeles' Power 106 will be sending out an email "blast" to over 300,000 loyal listeners with information about the mobile viral video offer. The ads will continue to run on both coasts through the release of the film on February 12th. The distribution of the video will not be limited solely to listeners of either station, as mobile video marketing is inherently viral. Anyone who participates in the program and views the trailer can forward it on to friends.

"It is clear that Hot 97 and Power 106 understand the synergy between traditional media, Internet and mobile," commented Jay Goss, SVP, Mogreet. "This campaign enables compelling video to be delivered to consumers' mobile phones, essentially endorsed by the sender. This is a very powerful proposition for a movie studio."
