NKT Cables wins Extra High Voltage Project in Greece

NKT Cables has been selected by PPC, Public Power Cooperation, in Greece to
design, manufacture and install a 400 kV underground cable system for a
transmission line north of Athens. 

The project will be carried out with a local partner and consists of 12 km long
double circuit, which leads to a need of 72 km of insulated 400 kV cables, the
relevant terminations and joints. The engineering, cable laying as well as
civil works and the site acceptance testing are part of the contract. 

The commercial value of the project is approx. 40 mEUR. The completion of the
cable project is currently expected by mid of 2011.
