WAV(R) Distribution Partners With Azotel

Value-Added Distributor to Offer OSS Including "WISP in a Box" and "Hotspot in a Box"

AURORA, IL and CORK, IRELAND--(Marketwire - February 16, 2010) -  WAV, Inc., the value-added distributor of wireless, security, RFID, VoIP and portable data-collection equipment, announced that it has partnered with Azotel. Azotel specializes in the development of highly automated Subscriber Management and Operational Support Systems (OSS) for use by the broadband and cable industries.

By partnering with Azotel, WAV's resellers can now help their WISP and Hotspot operators focus on building their networks and adding subscribers, rather than having to worry about the technology and process, which is delivered via the Azotel SIMPLer platform.

The SIMPLer platform includes two Client categories -- "WIB" (WISP in a Box) and "HIB" (Hotspot in a Box). From a technical perspective the WIB / HIB Client device performs all necessary CORE NETWORK functions for the operator -- in the one physical box, removing the need for routers, bandwidth managers, network monitors etc. etc.

The WIB or 'WISP in a Box' enables operators to deliver contract based services to their customers/subscribers. The WIB enables operators to define a broad range of connectivity products, including leased line and high-end dedicated bandwidth. It is therefore ideal for serving the Corporate, Enterprise and SME markets as well as residential.

The HIB or 'Hotspot in a Box' enables operators to deliver token or pre-paid services to their customers. Subscribers typically purchase a token from a default portal page or retail outlets. The HIB is ideal for serving hotspots or for large scale metro Wi-Fi deployments.

John O' Hare, CEO of Azotel, said that "Azotel is delighted to partner with WAV -- one of the largest distributors to the Wireless Broadband Operator market in the US and Canada. Our SIMPLer platform enables WAV to offer a complete end-to-end solution to the marketplace and is an ideal complement to the range of access networks already being distributed by WAV from vendors such as Motorola. From an Azotel perspective, we now have the channel capability to enable SIMPLer to become the 'standard' OSS of Wireless Operators."

As part of the distribution agreement, WAV will support Azotel with extensive technical expertise, as well as delivery of a wide breadth of pre and post-sale Azotel services.

"WAV is pleased to add Azotel to our portfolio of high quality product and service lines," said Norm Dumbroff, President and CEO of WAV Inc. "Our agreement with Azotel, significantly increases the value we can provide to our Solution Provider and VAR customers in the wireless area."

WAV is the industry's only single-stop resource providing the depth of knowledge and expert services required to fully address the specific technology and value-added services needs of the VAR and Solution Provider community.
