announced that Dr. Steve Tsengas, President and CEO of the Company, has
been elected Fellow of The Ohio Academy of Science and Jennifer Berlin has
been appointed an advisory board member.
To be considered for Fellow, an individual must have made extensive,
productive scientific, technological or educational contributions to
society. For more than three decades, Dr. Tsengas has established a record
of achievement by successfully translating his scientific ideas into
innovative product designs and commercial reality. During this period he
has been awarded a number of patents and has also developed a wide range of
products, including a number of products that incorporate advanced
technology. Since founding OurPet's Company, Dr. Tsengas has particularly
focused his efforts on products that reflect both the company's mission and
one of his personal and professional passions -- the health, safety,
comfort, care and wellness of pets.
The Company also announced that Jennifer Berlin has been appointed an
advisory member of the Board of Directors. In October 2009, Mrs. Berlin
established Berlin Law, LLC, which is primarily focused on mergers and
acquisitions and general corporate counsel matters. She served as General
Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of Berlin Financial, LTD from October
2004-October 2009. Her professional experience also includes serving as an
associate for corporate transactions at Jones Day and as a senior
multi-state tax consultant at Ernst & Young, LLP. Mrs. Berlin earned a
Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University Law School, and a B.S.
Accountancy degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She is a member
of the Cleveland Bar Association and Ohio Bar Association.
