TerraTherm, Inc. Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary, Receives Gold Medal for Outstanding Achievement in Environmental Remediation

FITCHBURG, MA--(Marketwire - February 25, 2010) - TerraTherm, Inc., a rapidly growing provider of environmental remediation technologies and services, celebrates both 10 years in business and winning the 2009 Gold Medal for Business Achievement in Environmental Remediation from The Environmental Business Journal (EBJ).

In making the award, EBJ cites TerraTherm (www.terratherm.com) for "continued significant growth in revenue and in the deployment of its suite of In Situ Thermal Remediation (ISTR) technologies, including Thermal Conduction Heating (TCH), Advanced Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH), and Steam Enhanced Extraction (SEE)." Also noted by the EBJ are TerraTherm's "new project awards in 2009 [which] totaled $16.5 million with a significant amount of growth overseas... international revenue has grown from 1% of revenue to 19% in 2009." TerraTherm continues to expand its global presence, adding a number of sublicensees and partners in recent years and developing new projects in Europe, Asia and South America.

Commenting on the gold medal award, Dr. Ralph Baker, CEO of TerraTherm, said, "TerraTherm's 10 years of experience in ISTR and our consistently excellent project results have led to accelerated adoption in North America and Europe along with growth in other geographies. This has yielded both a record number of active projects and a leap in the average size of our projects. We expect this trend to continue for the foreseeable future." Baker also observes, "TerraTherm has a great deal to celebrate, including our 10th anniversary. Our momentum continues, and all of us at the growing team at TerraTherm are thankful to our customers, supporters, and EBJ for making 2010 another terrific year."

EBJ will honor winners of the 2009 EBJ Business Achievement Awards at the Environmental Industry Summit VIII to be held at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego in March. TerraTherm is planning a 10th Anniversary celebration at an event during the Battelle Seventh International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds in Monterey, California in May.
