On Thursday, February 25th, Palm Beach paid tribute to Capri at the beautiful Mar-A-Lago Club, an evening that captivated and enthralled. Pamela Fiori, Editor-In-Chief of Town & Country Magazine signed copies of her book, "The Spirit of Capri." Hamilton Jewelers, the exclusive United States resource for the exquisite Chantecler jewelry collection, hosted the evening with Town & Country. Boasting an enchanting presentation of fine jewelry, fashion and other lavish pursuits, "A Night In Capri" gave guests a brief foray into the world of true Italian luxury. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from this unique event will benefit the US Fund for UNICEF.
Founded in 1947 by Pietro Capuano (nicknamed Chantecler) and Salvatore Aprea and now recognized as one of Italy's preeminent brands, Chantecler will display pieces from the jewelry collection that has mesmerized and bewitched women throughout the world. These sought after works of art have been favorites of the international celebrity community, boasting such collectors as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and Greta Garbo. The brand remains an iconic representation of Italian style and design. Most recently, during the latest G8 Foreign Ministers Meeting, Chantecler Campanelle were the elected gifts for President Barack Obama's daughters, Malia and Sasha.
To complement this spirit of joie de vivre, several prestigious Italian houses also participated. Salvatore Ferragamo showcased the 2010 Spring/Summer runway collection for men and women. Ducati motorbikes displayed some of their most sought-after models.
In an effort to raise funds for a much-needed and urgent cause, Hamilton hosted a raffle, valued at over $10,000 in with all proceeds going to UNICEF. The event was on Thursday, February 25, 2010.
