Sauce Labs Adds Tsachi "Zack" Samocha as Vice President of Products and Alliances

Samocha Brings Deep Testing Expertise From Mercury Interactive

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - April 12, 2010) -  Sauce Labs (www.saucelabs.com), the Selenium Company, today announced the addition of Tsachi "Zack" Samocha, as vice president of products and alliances.

During his nine years at Mercury Interactive (which was acquired by HP in 2006), Samocha held a series of senior positions in product marketing, development and management. In addition, he gained deep testing and domain expertise from leading the company's strategy towards SOA applications in the quality testing market. Prior to joining Sauce Labs, he worked as the director of products at AtHoc, provider of enterprise-class, network-centric emergency notification systems, where he established a technology partnership program.

"Powerful trends in functional testing toward continuous integration, open-source and cloud services will dramatically change how businesses test web applications," said Samocha, Vice President of Products and Alliances at Sauce Labs. "Sauce Labs is leading the charge in all three areas, supporting agile development practices, driving the advancement of the open-source Selenium project and making testing in the cloud easy and practical for anyone working on the web."

Samocha's start-up experience combined with his deep testing expertise from Mercury Interactive will further advance services, expand the ecosystem around open-source and cloud testing and help establish strategic partnerships and alliances at Sauce Labs.

"We're pleased to have Zack join us at a time when so many businesses are poised to leverage the cloud to run automated tests on mission-critical software," said Jason Huggins, Executive Software Chef at Sauce Labs. "Zack's testing expertise and knowledge of open-source put him in a perfect position to help developers and testers realize the benefits of the cloud."
