Tate Access Floors Pledges to Reduce GHG Emissions by 10 Percent

Company Continues Aggressive Commitment to Provide Environmentally Friendly Solutions

JESSUP, MD--(Marketwire - April 14, 2010) -  Tate® (http://www.tateaccessfloors.com), a market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of raised access floors, announced today that it has pledged to reduce its total greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 10 percent from 2008 to 2016. The company made the commitment as part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Climate Leaders program, which Tate joined in 2007.

"By setting such an aggressive goal, Tate is taking another important step in the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility," said Tate General Manager Donal Curtin. "We're both proud and excited about our partnership with Climate Leaders, which represents another strategy Tate is employing to address and reduce our impact on the environment."

With more than 45 years of experience manufacturing flexible building solutions, Tate is committed to providing cost-effective, environmentally friendly solutions for those involved with the design, construction and maintenance of large facilities. The company is also a strong advocate of green construction practices that reduce waste and promote a healthy indoor environment.

Climate Leaders is an EPA industry-government partnership that works with companies to develop comprehensive climate change strategies. Partner companies commit to reducing their impact on the global environment by completing a corporate-wide inventory of their GHG emissions based on a quality management system, setting aggressive reduction goals and annually reporting progress to EPA. Through program participation, companies create a credible record of their accomplishments and receive EPA recognition as corporate environmental leaders.
