AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - April 22, 2010) - L2 Consulting Services, Inc (L2) is pleased to announce that the Federal Aviation Administration has granted the company a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), ST00300BO for the installation of a DAC International, Inc. [Quad (four position)] Class 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) system on Boeing 777 series aircraft. The system was installed for ARINC on a Cathay Pacific Airways B777 and was accomplished in Hong Kong.

System Installation Description: The three cockpit and one cabin DAC International, Inc. GEN-X EFBs were interfaced to multiple avionics systems through a Ballard Technology Avionics Interface Device (AID) AB2000 Series™. Ethernet devices were joined through the International Communication Group eSwitch8. The EFBs were interfaced to Iridium Satcom for real-time credit card authorization, wireless LAN for Tech/Cabin logs and bulk EFB updates and FOQA data downloads. ARINC's Gatefusion(SM) is used as the broadband wireless connection between aircraft and ground-based applications.
