NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 14, 2010) - Verdi Corrente Productions (VCP) reports Joey Fatone, best known for his work in the band NSync and the film My Big Fat Greek Wedding, has been shooting his latest project, a horror film titled Inkubus, in Rhode Island for the past several weeks.
Inkubus http://www.inkubusmovie.com/, directed by Glenn Ciano, stars Robert Englund (the original Freddy Krueger), William Forsythe (Halloween), Jonathan Silverman (Weekend at Bernie's), Mike Cerrone (Me Myself and Irene) and Michelle Ray Smith (Salt) along with Fatone, and tells the story of a group of cops working the final shift at a soon-to-be demolished police station. The night takes a gruesome turn when the demon Inkubus walks into the station holding a severed head. To their dismay, the officers quickly become pawns in Inkubus' brutal crowning achievement of murder, gore, and mayhem.
Fatone, who plays Lt. Tom Caretti, was scheduled to be in Rhode Island for Inkubus through the end of the month, but on May 18th he will have to leave the set to answer the demands of his adoring fans: Fatone has been voted back as a special guest on ABC's hit show "Dancing with the Stars." When asked about his departure, Fatone commented: "I had to do Inkubus. I read the script and flipped -- it was just that good. I am so honored to be acting alongside the legend Robert Englund, and even though I have to leave for a few days, I can't wait to get back to the set to finish the film." Mr. Fatone has other exciting news on the horizon: he will release a new single this month called "Radio" and will be starring in the Broadway show, The Producers, later in the summer.
