Information Builders Named Finalist in Two Categories in 2010 American Business Awards

Business Intelligence Leader's Customer Service Recognized for Third Consecutive Year

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 19, 2010) -  Information Builders, an independent leader in business intelligence (BI) solutions, has been named a finalist in the 2010 American Business Awards (ABA) in two categories, "Customer Service Team of the Year" and "Customer Service Executive of the Year" for Stu Madison, vice president of Corporate Technical Support Services. This is the third consecutive year that Information Builders' Customer Support department has been recognized as a finalist by the ABA. More than 2,700 entries from companies of all sizes in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories.

Despite the current economic climate, Information Builders Customer Support came out on top in 2009, achieving 98 percent overall satisfaction for premium accounts. As a result of the Premium Support team's stellar customer service, the 2009 maintenance renewal rate was 92 percent. Additionally, the team scored a 96 percent success rate on meeting initial response goals, compared with 85 percent in 2008. As a finalist for Customer Service Executive of the Year, Stu Madison was recognized for his 25-year contribution to the company, which included the launch of 24x7 customer service availability as well as a premium customer service department that brings in $4 million a year for the company and improves overall customer retention.

"Information Builders' superior customer service is the cornerstone of our business," said Gerald Cohen, CEO and founder of Information Builders. "I'm incredibly proud of the customer service team led by Stu Madison, one of the best customer service professionals out there. Customer satisfaction is key to the continued growth of our business, not only because it retains our existing customers, but also because it creates a stellar reputation for the company through word-of-mouth."
