PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwire - May 26, 2010) -  Ferguson, the founding professional advertising and promotion agency of CommonHealth, today announced the agency won a Silver award at the OTC National Advertising Awards.

Ferguson earned the Silver award in the "Best Branded Print Campaign" category for an OTC conversion launch ad the agency created for a brand used to treat heartburn.

In September 2009, the group launched the Ferguson OTC (over-the-counter) Center of Excellence, an initiative designed to address the rapid increase in use and promotion of OTC drugs. The Center of Excellence specializes in the marketing of prescription-to-OTC switches and the promotion of OTC brands to healthcare practitioners.

The OTC National Advertising Awards, sponsored by OTC Perspectives magazine, recognizes achievement in best practices, knowledge and insight by pharmaceutical marketers who are leading, creating and implementing OTC communications.

Winners were announced May 18 at the OTC National Advertising Awards Dinner in Philadelphia, PA, as part of the OTC National Conference.
