Planet's Inspar Robotic Technologies Inc. Granted an Additional Patent for SIPP(TM) Robotic Pipe Lining Technology

New Technology Robotically Installs Impervious Liners in In-Situ Pipes Saving Millions to Industry in Corrosion & Replacement Costs

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - June 17, 2010) -   Planet Resource Recovery, Inc. (PLANET) (PINKSHEETS: PRRY), developer, manufacturer and marketer of PetroLuxus™ and other "Green" technologies for the remediation and recovery of the Planet's resources, is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Inspar Robotic Technologies, Inc. (INSPAR) has been granted a new patent by the United States Patent and Trademark office. The new patent is for "Apparatus and Method for Lining Large Diameter Pipes with an Environmentally Compatible Impervious Membrane." Inspar Robotic Technologies' intellectual portfolio now consists of 8 US and Foreign patents with multiple new inventions in various stages of the patent process for the global pipeline remediation marketplace.

INSPAR's new patent is aimed at large diameter pipes. A large market segment for this technology is large diameter potable water transmission lines. The aging and deteriorating water transmission infrastructure in the U.S. is a growing concern to municipalities across the nation. These aging water transmission lines are subject to bursting, collapsing and further deterioration which interrupts service to citizens and is very costly to repair. The traditional method of "Remove and Replace" is too costly for already stretched municipal budgets. Repair methods currently employed to fix large diameter pipes are labor intensive, costly and subject personnel to hazardous environments.

A 2007 EPA Conference of Mayors report estimated the cost for repairs and upgrades of municipal water transmission lines at $15 billion. The growing concern to address the aging U.S. infrastructure issue recently resulted in the U.S. Commerce Department funding an $8 million project to develop a robotic platform that will repair and retrofit deteriorating water mains nationwide.

The INSPAR advantage is that its SIPP™ technology is already developed, has real world field history and is commercially viable. INSPAR's robotic Sprayed In Place Pipe technologies are operated remotely - not requiring personnel to enter hazardous environments. It structurally restores and repairs pipes ranging from 1 inch to over 174 inches in diameter. The proprietary liner formulations utilized are benign to the environment, unlike other liners that leach into the transported effluent and contain VOC's, CFC's and Endocrine Disruptors. The robotic delivery system can evenly line the interior of in-situ pipe and ensure exact membrane thicknesses ranging from .05 - 4.25 inches in one robotic pass. The liners have an ultra fast set time of 4-6 seconds resulting in expedited job completion and limited downtime. The SIPP™ technology can be used on pipes of any composition including, but not limited to; concrete, steel and plastic. The end product of the SIPP™ technology is the restoration of asset integrity, meeting or exceeding environmental compliance and extending the design life of the restored pipe by 75 -100 years.

INSPAR's innovative technologies serve diverse industries such as nuclear, coal-fired and gas-fired power plants, chemical and petroleum processing facilities, mining sites, fossil fuel transmission lines and facilities, public entities working on local, state, federal and international levels. Clients include General Motors, Pfizer, Conoco Phillips, Xcel Energy, Kiewit, Progress Energy, Entergy, Virginia Department of Transportation, American Electric Power, PPG, CITGO, etc. For a complete overview and history of Inspar visit http://www.planetresource.net/pdf/inspar_abstract.pdf or http://www.inspar.com For animation visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5q8VkVRPow
