Senior management appointments at Handelsbanken


Annika Brunnéd has been appointed as the new head of Handelsbanken's regional
bank in northern Sweden. She will also be a member of Handelsbanken's Group
senior management team.

Annika Brunnéd currently works as head of finance at Handelsbanken UK. She
succeeds Göran Stille who has been appointed head of Handelsbanken's regional
bank in central Great Britain, as previously announced in a press release.

Annika Brunnéd takes up her new position on 1 September.

Agneta Lilja has been appointed new head of Handelsbanken's infrastructure
department. She will also be a member of Handelsbanken's Group senior management
team.

Agneta Lilja is currently regional area manager at the regional bank in
Stockholm. She succeeds Katarina Berner Frösdal who has been appointed head of
personnel at Handelsbanken, as previously announced in a press release.

Agneta Lilja takes up her new position on 1 July.

Per Beckman has been appointed as head of Handelsbanken Asset Management. He has
been a member of the Bank's senior management team since 2005.

Per Beckman currently works as head of Handelsbanken Capital Markets and will
remain in this position.

The current head of Handelsbanken Asset Management, Claes Norlén, will initially
transfer to projects for the whole Handelsbanken Group. He will continue to be a
member of the Bank's senior management team.

Per Beckman takes up his new position on 23 August.
