OMAHA, Neb., June 22, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Within six months, Omaha-based StoryTel Foundation has doubled the number of media outlets airing its "On Assignment" documentaries. Each airing generates viewer calls and praise. To date, the foundation's initial "On Assignment" production, Restoring the Sacred: St. John Cantius, has aired more than six times on EWTN, the largest Catholic television network in the world, with exposure to more than 112 million nationwide. The highly acclaimed production has also aired three times on greater Detroit's Catholic Television Network of Detroit, and more recently on Sky Angel and CatholicTV.com. Additional airings are slated on these outlets.
Total Living Network, one of the nation's largest non-Catholic Christian networks, expressed plans to air StoryTel's second, newly released "On Assignment" production, Salem Christian School: All Things are Possible, which tells the remarkable story of an inner city Chicago private school that continues to change young lives for the good. Additional networks are considering the show as well.
According to viewers whose calls flood television networks after each airing to say "thank you" and request DVDs of the show, StoryTel's documentaries inspire them to greatness. Viewers want to tell their friends and families about the "On Assignment" story they just saw on TV.
"Our station first aired Saint John Cantius, Restoring the Sacred in January of 2010," says Jennifer Garcia, Program / Production Coordinator for Catholic Television Network of Detroit. "We received quite a few calls regarding this show from viewers inquiring how to purchase it. I've heard nothing but compliments from staff and viewers regarding this program. I will definitely schedule to air it again soon!"
