AmeraMex International Expands Its Pipeline in Central America

CHICO, CA--(Marketwire - June 24, 2010) -  AmeraMex International, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: AMMX), a provider of heavy equipment to stevedoring (logistics companies), infrastructure construction and mining companies, today announced that it is experiencing an increase in interest and order flow from Central America.

The company has projected $4 million in orders from the opening of a new port in El Salvador. To date the company has received over $2 million in orders, with the remaining $2 million expected by August. AmeraMex is preparing to ship to Honduras a second order for four additional large container handling machines totaling approximately $250,000. The company also will be conducting a training program for employees at both the Honduras and El Salvador ports.

Central America is becoming a hub for importing and exporting goods in the region. This increase in shipping activities has logistics companies ordering additional container handlers to increase the speed and efficiency of loading and unloading shipping containers dockside.

"Central American countries are gearing up for container shipments both in and out of any country bordering the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean," said AmeraMex CEO Lee Hamre. "As cargo ships are getting larger, they are having difficulty navigating the Panama Canal and are beginning to use alternative transfer companies to move loaded containers from the Pacific to the Gulf and back. There is a project in place to widen the Canal, but it is expected to take eight to ten years to complete. In the meantime, Central American ports are gearing up for business, and we believe our reputation as a 'one-stop-shop' for quality container handlers, parts, and operator training will provide us a competitive edge with governments in the region."

Hamre continued, "We believe our efforts to expand our pipeline in Africa and Central and South America will generate a banner year for AmeraMex."
