WHAT:

At Cisco Live! 2010 in Las Vegas, Cisco will hold news conferences, available via webcast, on June 29 and 30 announcing major advances in energy management, data center virtualization, cloud computing and collaboration. Cisco will also unveil a new technology as part of the keynote session by CEO John Chambers. During the address, Chambers will also announce the winner of the second Cisco I-Prize innovation contest.

In-person and virtual attendees will be able to join Cisco executives live to hear about:

  • Cisco Connected Grid: Cisco will unveil new "Connected Grid" technologies that will enable utilities, consumers and enterprise customers to better monitor and manage energy consumption for cost and carbon savings.
  • Data Center, Cloud and Collaboration: Cisco will unveil innovative developments in data center and virtualization technologies that will enable new cloud-based services and business opportunities for partners and accelerate the adoption of collaboration applications.
  • Cisco I-Prize: Cisco will announce the winner of its second I-Prize contest, an open global innovation competition in which entrepreneurs worldwide collaborated using Cisco technologies to propose new billion-dollar business ideas.
  • Technology Unveiling: Tune in to Cisco CEO John Chambers' keynote to see another innovation that amplifies the company's "networked" vision.
