WebCE's Insurance Continuing Education Courses Fulfill Minnesota's New Delivery Requirement, With No Lapse in Service to Customers

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - July 7, 2010) -  Effective July 1, 2010, the Minnesota Department of Commerce mandated that all online insurance continuing education providers must implement new, more robust course delivery requirements. Under the new requirement, all CE providers must:

  • Track the amount of time students actually spend studying the course material. The provider must then accurately record the total time each student spends engaged in their courses, and the total time must meet or exceed the CE hours awarded by the state.
  • The course delivery system must also automatically pause all courses and stop recording time if a student has been inactive for 10 minutes or more.

Jennifer Haworth, WebCE's VP of Sales and Marketing said, "We are pleased to announce that, effective July 1st, our Minnesota customers were still able to complete their CE requirements in a fully compliant manner. All of WebCE's Minnesota-approved CE courses purchased prior to July 1st have been upgraded to meet the new requirements and all newly purchased courses will also be delivered correctly. So, all agents who use WebCE can be confident they will receive fully-compliant CE hours."

To avoid licensing problems, Minnesota agents who have incomplete courses with other online CE providers are encouraged to verify those courses meet Minnesota's new and revised delivery requirements before completing the course.

WebCE's MN individual CE course prices start at $4.95 and bundles of courses up to 24-hours can be purchased for $38.95. Prices include instant online exam grading, online printable certificates of completion and next-day roster reporting at no additional cost. More information is available at www.WebCE.com or by calling 800-488-9308.
