Leading Health Care System Selects Daptiv PPM to Streamline Processes and Improve Decision-Making Across Project Portfolio

Sisters of Mercy Health System Increases Project Visibility With Cloud-Based Project Management Solution

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - August 11, 2010) -  Daptiv, the on-demand leader in project management and collaborative business software, today announced that Sisters of Mercy Health System (Mercy) has chosen Daptiv PPM to increase visibility into its project portfolio in order to improve decision making, optimize resource allocation and streamline inefficient processes. Mercy is the ninth largest Catholic healthcare system in the U.S. Today, Mercy operates facilities and services in a seven-state area encompassing Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Mercy has about 37,000 employees across 26 acute care hospitals.

Prior to Daptiv PPM, Mercy's Enterprise Project Office (EPO) lacked proper visibility into its project portfolio, and project governance proved to be challenging. The EPO realized that traditional office productivity tools in combination with Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint could not meet its needs in a cost-effective manner and began looking for a more comprehensive and flexible project portfolio management solution. "We lacked the visibility into our project portfolio and struggled to allocate the right resources at the right time," said Scott Arnold, Vice President EPO at Mercy.

Mercy selected Daptiv PPM after evaluating a number of PPM solutions. "We were excited about the ease of use of Daptiv PPM and its flexibility to meet our business needs," said Jay Carter, Manager -- Project Management at Mercy. Mercy's EPO worked with Daptiv Professional Services to configure Daptiv PPM to Mercy's process for project intake, project scheduling and project management. Daptiv Work Intelligence™ was used to build real-time reports and dashboards, while Daptiv Connect™ was used to integrate with Mercy's time-tracking system.

Mercy immediately gained insights from Daptiv PPM that they needed to make timely decisions about which projects required investment and which needed to be stopped; a problem that had caused Mercy time and money. In addition, project managers are now able to understand Mercy's resources and organizational capabilities, allowing the EPO to avoid project bottlenecks and improve project governance. Project team members can author, view and share information in one application, thereby enabling true collaboration.
