BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwire - August 16, 2010) - Willamette HDL, Inc. today announced that it will begin offering an introductory training course on programming for the iPhone and iPad family of devices from Apple Computer, Inc.
The initial four-day course, to be held September 7-10 in Beaverton, Ore., is designed to introduce the iOS operating system and teach developers how to write high-quality, Apple-approved applications. Emphasis will be placed on helping participants to avoid common pitfalls and to leverage Apple's development resources and documentation.
Training, intended for developers who want to build an application for the iPhone or iPad family of devices or use the platforms to deliver corporate content, will be hands on with lab work for most topics. Students will be given all lab work along with the source for several application examples. Pricing is $2,000 and includes training materials.
"Programming for the iPhone and iPad can be a daunting challenge," says Mike Baird, president of Willamette HDL, long recognized as a leading provider of system-level design and verification training for chip designers. "From the unique language and ever-growing library of thousands of APIs to the limited memory and power constraints of mobile devices, our course is designed to flatten the learning curve for new developers."
