Amsterdam, the Netherlands - Ahold has repurchased 1,524,116 Ahold common shares in the period from August 16, 2010 up to and including August 20, 2010. The shares were repurchased at an average price of € 9.9145 per share for a total consideration of € 15.11 million. These repurchases were made as part of the € 500 million share buyback program announced on March 4, 2010.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 19,640,330 common shares for a total consideration of € 199.7 million.
