LAKE BLUFF, IL--(Marketwire - August 31, 2010) - Orren Pickell Designers & Builders, the Midwest's premier design/build firm, announced that Lisa Pickell, age 30, was appointed to Chief Operating Officer. Lisa joined Orren Pickell Designers & Builders in 2004 as head of the award-winning Orren Pickell Remodeling Group, overseeing all aspects of the company's renovation process, from design through construction. Lisa's quick learning curve helped her step into her next role as assistant sales manager and marketing director of Orren Pickell Designers & Builders.
Upon joining Orren Pickell Designers & Builders, Lisa continued the firm's long-standing tradition of supporting the homebuilding industry itself. She has been member of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago's (HBAGC) Remodelers Council since 2006, serving as President for the 2008 term. Additionally, Lisa has contributed to the HBAGC as a Board Member of the Young Builder Council between 2006 and 2009, and as a Regional Board Member in 2008. She represented the HBAGC in 2009 as a voting Delegate to the National Association of Home Builders and participated in the voting for the organization's International Builders Show. In 2009, Lisa was honored as the HBAGC Remodeler of the Year, an award that reflects the high level of quality, craftsmanship and service exemplified by the entire company.
In the past two years alone, Orren Pickell Designers & Builders received thirty-one Key Awards, including six of the highly-coveted Crystal Key Awards. Many of the projects recognized by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicagoland had Lisa at the helm including The Scottish Manor, a concept home by the firm which was named Chicago Magazine and Chicago Home + Garden's 2008 Showhouse.
