Dürr wins large order from Chinese car manufacturer Chery

Bietigheim-Bissingen, September 3, 2010, - The Dürr Group is able to
report continuing strong demand in China. The machinery and plant
manufacturer was able to secure a more than EUR 60 million order from the
Chinese car manufacturer Chery. Dürr will be building a new
environmental-friendly paint shop at Chery's Dalian location. The
environmental sustainability of the paint shop equipment was an important
criterion in the decision-making and order placement process, all the more
so considering that the plant is going to be built in a holiday region.
Chery is one of the largest Chinese car producers.

Chery's order is already the fifth major order from China since the
beginning of the year. In the first eight months of the year, the car
manufacturers Shanghai General Motors and Shanghai Volkswagen were amongst
those to order turnkey paint shops from Dürr. Dürr's customers in China not
only include joint ventures with Western OEMs, but also numerous Chinese
car manufacturers such as Chery, Changan, FAW Car Company and Yutong.

Ralf Dieter, CEO of Dürr AG, is expecting further order placements from
China during the coming months: 'Several new paint shops are currently
being planned by car manufacturers in China. We stand a good chance of
being successful and winning more orders. Due to our longstanding,
powerful presence in China, we are in a position to handle large projects
promptly and efficiently. This is a very important criterion for our
customers, since the rapid development of new production capacities is a
key success factor within the fast growing Chinese Market'.

Dürr is represented in China with over 700 employees. In the first six
months of 2010, the Chinese market accounted for more than a third of
incoming orders.

Dürr is a mechanical and plant engineering group that holds leading
positions in the world market in its areas of operation. It generates a
