AddressDoctor "Delivers" United States Postal Service(R) Certified Address Validation on Six Platforms

Certification System Ensures Address Accuracy and Completeness According to USPS's Specifications; Saving Senders Time, Money and Hassle

MAXDORF, Germany and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Sept. 14, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- AddressDoctor, the leading provider of international address verification and cleansing solutions, today announced AddressDoctor's new Software Library version, which is able to validate and correct mailing lists in accordance with the current specifications outlined by the United States Postal Service (USPS®). AddressDoctor Software Library is now available on five new Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS™) certified platforms, including: Red Hat, Suse, AIX, Solaris and HP Itanium in addition to already being available on Microsoft Windows. USPS uses CASS to evaluate the accuracy of address cleansing and matching software by checking five-digit ZIP®, ZIP + 4®, and delivery point codes. This certifies that AddressDoctor's new version meets these standards.

The certified software from AddressDoctor ensures customers the completeness, consistency and validity of American addresses in order to meet the stringent requirements of the USPS. Certification is a good benchmark to assess address quality and is essential when sending bulk mail at discounted rates within the United States.

"By broadening the offering of our address verification software through additional platform certification, AddressDoctor's Software Library is now compatible with all of the most commonly used operating systems, which allows a broader range of customers to benefit from cost effective and timely mail delivery," said Sven Schreiber, General Manger for AddressDoctor, Informatica. "Inaccurate address data costs organizations millions of dollars every year culminating in wasted postage and lost marketing opportunities. Internal quality standards of many U.S.-companies require that addresses are validated exclusively with CASS-certified software."

In addition to the USPS-certification, AddressDoctor achieved Software Evaluation and Recognition Program (SERP)-certification by Canada Post in February this year.
