King & Spalding Names Mike Stenglein Managing Partner in Austin

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - September 24, 2010) -  King & Spalding announced today the appointment of Mike Stenglein as managing partner of the firm's Austin, Texas, office. Stenglein takes over from Robert E. (Bobby) Meadows, managing partner of the firm's Houston office, who also managed the Austin office since it opened in May 2008. Meadows continues in his Houston leadership role.

Stenglein, a former managing partner of Dewey LeBoeuf's Austin office, is a commercial litigator with extensive experience in complex litigation, including energy litigation for electricity generating and marketing companies (often involving Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, or FERC, issues), accounting-related disputes, tax controversy issues and Employee Retirement Income Security Act, or ERISA, litigation.

King & Spalding, building on its strong presence in Texas, established its Austin office to broaden the firm's national litigation and global energy practices. The 20-lawyer Austin office focuses primarily on energy-sector commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation and counseling.
