CONSHOHOCKEN, PA--(Marketwire - September 30, 2010) - The Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) announces that Cephalon, Inc. is serving for the first time as presenting sponsor of the 2010 Light The Night walk of Chester County, Saturday, October 2, 2010, at the Wilson Farm Park in Chesterbrook, PA. Proceeds will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, of Eastern Pennsylvania, a nonprofit organization that supports blood cancer research and provides patient services.
Cephalon has supported Light The Night for several years, beginning at the local level, and has committed to expand their support at the national level through 2011. For the first time in 2009, Cephalon supported LLS as a National sponsor and raised approximately $185,000. Funds raised by Cephalon and the thousands of other participants in the Light The Night walks play a pivotal role in allowing LLS to provide blood cancer education and financial support for research, treatment, and patient support. In addition to National sponsorship, LLS is proud to announce Cephalon as a local presenting sponsor of Chester County. Along with the Cephalon's commitment to blood cancer research, their employees have been working tirelessly to recruit approximately 150 participants locally for the Chester County Light The Night walk. Nationally, Cephalon employees and their friends and family members will join Light The Night walks in their communities and walk together this fall.

About the Chester County Light The Night Walk
This walk takes place on October 2, 2010 at Wilson Farm Park, in Chesterbrook, PA. It is a non-competitive, two-mile, walk. Registration and pre-walk entertainment, such as music, refreshments and family-friendly activities, begins at 4:30 p.m. followed by a remembrance ceremony at 5:45 p.m. and the evening walk beginning at 6:30 p.m.
