E FUN Set to Introduce First Consumer Electronics Products

New Consumer Electronics Brand to Launch APEN Digital Pens and Nextbook Android Tablets

WEST COVINA, CA--(Marketwire - October 13, 2010) -  E FUN, a consumer electronics designer and marketer of fun, easy-to-use lifestyle products, is set to introduce its first two product lines this fall. They are: the APEN standard-shape digital pen that comes with a transmitter and software that allow users to write and draw images on regular paper using normal ink, and the Nextbook line of Android tablets.

"We are excited to bring our first products to market," commented Jason Liszewski, Managing Director and VP of Sales for E FUN. "As our name indicates, we intend to offer fun, lifestyle products that are designed for consumers who desire the latest technological products, but are more concerned with what they do, not how they do it."

APEN Digital Pens
The patented APEN brand of digital pens takes note taking, drawing, and computer annotating to a whole new level. A special transmitter and software digitize handwriting and hand-drawn images with ease. Hand-written materials are converted to digital text, which may be uploaded to a computer or smartphone as a .jpg file and immediately shared by e-mail or social media sites such as Facebook and Flickr. APEN digital pens also can be used for standalone digital note taking, real-time computer note taking, editing of documents and photos, adding electronic signatures to documents, and, sending handwritten e-mails.

Technology for the APEN line was developed by Israeli company Pegasus Technologies, Ltd and is based on military electronic surveillance standards. YiFang Digital's purchase of Pegasus in 2010 included 57 worldwide patents, five of which cover the US that will form the foundation for ongoing product development for the APEN line.

The APEN digital pens will be available from E FUN this fall.

Nextbook Android Tablets
The Nextbook line of tablets features Google's powerful Linux-based Android operating system. Initial products will have a generous 7" touch screen TFT color display, 2GB of internal memory as well as an SD/MMC expansion card slot, a MP3/photo viewer and video playback capabilities. All models have an embedded Borders eBook store and Wi-Fi included. 25 books, as well as videos and music, are pre-loaded into every model. Users can quickly and easily purchase and download any book of their choosing. The Borders eBook store offers more than one-million titles, many of which are free.

The Nextbook Android tablets will be available from E FUN this fall.
