Search for the $20,000 RITANI Diamond Ring Hidden in Boston

Local Boston Couples Submit Love Stories, Use SCVNGR for Chance to Win the Bling

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - October 14, 2010) - The search is on -- starting this Saturday, a RITANI diamond ring worth $20,000 will be hidden somewhere in downtown Boston. Long's Jewelers has partnered with mobile based-application SCVNGR to allow local Boston couples to compete in a one day, high tech trek for Boston's 1st Annual Boston Diamond Dash, with one lucky couple standing the chance to score big.

Starting at 11:00 AM EDT on Saturday, couples will meet at City Hall Plaza to begin their trek. Using their mobile phones, couples will receive a series of location-based clues, prompting them to complete a series of fun and simple challenges from their phone throughout the city of Boston.

Local couples are strongly encouraged to sign-up immediately to participate in Saturday's event and can submit their love stories at www.BostonDiamondDash.com for a chance to secure their spot in the Diamond Dash. Sign-ups are open until 11:59 PM EDT on Friday, October 15th.

Immediately following the Diamond Dash, couples will gather for an after-event party hosted by Ned Devine's. One lucky couple will then be presented with the $20,000 RITANI diamond ring.

"All you need is a love story and a mobile phone to get in on the action," said Nick Pirie, SCVNGR Executive Rockstar. "We want to see couples running, peddling, doing whatever it takes to complete challenges and earn points to get them closer to owning the diamond bling."

For more information and to submit your love story to win a spot in the Boston Diamond Dash, visit www.BostonDiamondDash.com. To grab the free SCVNGR app and get ready for Saturday go to the Android Market or Apple App Store.
