ORANGE COUNTY, CA--(Marketwire - October 19, 2010) -  General Pacific Partners, LLC (GPP), a southern California based private equity group, announced that Robert C. Allen has joined the group as Director of Business Development and Partner. Mr. Allen brings extensive experience in technology solutions, with nearly twenty years of executive sales and marketing management experience, to GPP and its clients.

An industry veteran, Mr. Allen will lead strategic initiatives pertaining to private family asset management and private equity investments as well as initiating and managing relationships with institutional investors. Mr. Allen commented, "In over 15 years of sales management and business development experience pertaining to capital, equipment and medical device sales I have successfully converted business management, business process transformation (BT), and business development (BD) into a consistent track record of meeting and or exceeding financial objectives for myself and my teams of sales professionals."

Before joining GPP, Mr. Allen was the founder and Chairman of Physicianshare Inc., a software as a service solutions company serving the healthcare industry. His company created business development, sales and marketing strategies, as well as managed and implemented all phases of sales, marketing and public relations related to new product roll outs and introductions.

Additionally, while at GE Healthcare, Mr. Allen was responsible for new business development and international marketing, sales development and distribution channel oversight and technical driven consultative solutions. He successfully directed sales and marketing programs exceeding $20 million in worldwide businesses and was adept at creating and launching unique sales and marketing programs to win key relationships in the industry.
