The Niagara 2948 joins an established and market-proven Managed switch product series from Interface Masters which includes the Niagara 2908, an 8 port 10GbE Managed Switch, the Niagara 2916, a 16 Port GbE Managed Switch and Niagara 2924, a 24 Port 10GbE managed Switch. The product family ensures that the optimal combination of port density and speed flexibility are offered for each unique application without compromising the premium functionality, management interface and software platform that is available across the entire product line. The Niagara Managed Switch series enables 10GE line-rate throughput to be realized in any datacenter deployment by leveraging the Marvell 10GE switch chip's extensive feature set to significantly improve server efficiency, packet processing, power utilization, and data transfer speeds.
