EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS--(Marketwire - October 26, 2010) - Adimec (www.adimec.com), a world leader in application-specific, leading-edge industrial camera solutions, will showcase its latest high-end camera innovations at the upcoming Vision 2010 Trade Fair in Stuttgart, Germany (9-11 November), including:
- the industry's most advanced 4-megapixel CMOS-based camera, the QUARTZ Q-4A180
- the industry's first production-ready camera using the new CoaXPress standard, the OPAL series
- a roadmap for 8- and 12-megapixel versions of its high-performance QUARTZ product line
Adimec will be located in Booth D19 in Hall 4 at Messe Stuttgart, Germany.
In addition, Jochem Herrmann, Adimec Chief Scientist and chairman of the CoaXPress Consortium, will present an update on the progress of the high-speed transmission standard on Wednesday, 11 November at 13:30 in Hall 6, Stand A81.
Quartz: High-speed CMOS imaging with no compromises
Adimec will demonstrate the latest version of its Q-4A180 camera, which combines global shutter CMOS technology with Adimec's proprietary True Accurate Imaging™ technology for unmatched speed, accuracy and quality comparable to CCD-based solutions. The QUARTZ series provides the highest acquisition speed by combining high frame rate sensor technology with high data rate connectivity. The camera features up to 180 frames per second (FPS) performance, large field of view (FOV) with excellent uniformity, 2048 x 2048 resolution and low noise performance, making it the most advanced CMOS camera available for performance-critical applications. Adimec will also discuss its roadmap to offer 8- and 12-megapixel versions of the QUARTZ product line, scheduled to be introduced in the coming year.
Opal: Performance and flexibility for a wide range of applications
The flagship OPAL series of cameras is Adimec's most versatile family, delivering unparalleled channel matching, linearity and dynamic range at resolutions between 1-8 megapixels at more than 120 FPS. It is the first production camera available to support the CoaXPress standard, which allows it to deliver transmission performance up to 3x faster in a single coaxial cable that combines power, GPIO, commands and image data and can extend up to 140 meters. Its CoaXPress support adds to existing support of Camera Link and GigE Vision interface options.
CoaXPress: Progress since 2009 Vision Award
The CoaXPress standard, which was the recipient of the 2009 Vision Award at last year's event, continues to gain momentum and adopters as the high-speed connectivity choice for next generation cameras. Consortium chairman Herrmann will be joined by other Consortium members and commercial supporters as well as representatives of the Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA), the host of the standard. They will provide an update on the standardization process and discuss progress in its implementation in a variety of new products.
