Gaming & Leisure Announces Recipients of G&L Technology Impact Awards

LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - November 8, 2010) -  Gaming & Leisure, publisher of the principle management periodical for the gaming and hospitality industry and host of the annual G&L Roundtable comprised of the industries top thought leaders, announces today the recipients of the G&L Technology Impact Award; a second award from within the G&L Community.

The prestigious G&L Board has chosen the Technology Impact Award recipients based on their product's ability to provide truly impactful technology via having the greatest impact on revenue production and / or cost savings.

"The concept for offering this Award arose out of the current state of the economy. It seemed appropriate to recognize those providers who offered a product that would impact increased revenue production and or decrease costs; two highly sought after attributes for products being purchased at this time. Of course the significance of the award are the executives comprised within the G&L Board and Roundtable Colleagues that define the award, create the rigorous award process, analyze the nominations and select the recipients. These judges are the top innovation leaders in our industry, they represent the vast majority of all gaming spend in North America and we're excited to host this award and continuously humbled to be a part of the amazing industry thought leaders within the G&L Community," stated Jeannie Caruso, Publisher of G&L Magazine and host of the G&L Roundtable.

The award recipients will be honored next week at the G&L Roundtable on Monday, November 15 at Encore in Las Vegas. The Platinum Award recipient, Agilysys, will address the executives at the private Roundtable forum on Monday afternoon. Tina Stehle, SVP and General Manager of Agilysys' Hospitality Solutions Group, said, "The board of Gaming & Leisure is comprised of some of the most visionary leaders in the hospitality technology industry, and it is a great honor to have been selected by them as the platinum recipient of this year's Technology Impact Award. Our mission is to deliver best-of-breed software solutions to our hotel and gaming customers. To that end, we continue to build on our existing systems while also adding innovative new solutions to our technology portfolio."

Each award recipient will be recognized in the award ceremony Monday evening at Wynn's Tableau and each will be featured in the winter edition of Gaming & Leisure. MGT President Mark Bryant, recipient of this year's Gold award, stated, "It was humbling to have MGT considered for an award by the prestigious group of industry peers that make up G&L's Board and Roundtable Colleagues. Receiving the award is truly an honor that I will carry with pride for years to come. Feedback from many of these same peers has shaped our products and will continue to be our inspiration for future development."

Bronze Award recipient Andrew Cardno, BIS²'s CTO, said, "It is a tremendous honor to be once again recognized by the G&L Advisory Board. The decision of this board, a board that is made up of the leading technology executives in the industry, to give merit to the impact of our gameViz product is truly special. In this time when the industry is undergoing radical change, ranging from the products being deployed to the markets being served, BIS² will continue to strive to deliver maximum impact for our customers."
