Nominum Vice President of Research & Data Strategy Receives 2010 FOSI Award

Nominum Continues Leadership Role Improving Online Safety

REDWOOD CITY, CA--(Marketwire - November 9, 2010) -  Nominum is pleased to announce that its Vice President of Research and Data Strategy, Vivian Neou, has been selected to receive a 2010 Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Each year FOSI honors a select number of industry leaders for their contributions towards a safer online world. FOSI's mission is to create a safer Internet for kids and their families through technology, events, public policy and education. The Award for Outstanding Achievement is given to individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to advancing the organization's goal.

A veteran employee at Nominum, Neou leads a dedicated team of networking and security experts that provides data research and real-time data feeds to a new generation of services, all which support Nominum's corporate mission -- to make the Internet smarter, faster and safer for all users worldwide. Neou and her team are focused on delivering services such as Nominum's Network Protection Service (NPS), contributing to a safer and more enjoyable Internet experience while protecting families, children and households worldwide.

Neou's contributions to the development and continuous improvement of NPS have generated unique and powerful ways to use the backbone of the Internet, the Domain Name System (DNS), as a means to create a safer online experience. Neou and her team were able to leverage Nominum's technology, expertise and strong relationships with the world's largest Internet Service Providers to develop these services.

"Vivian is very deserving of this award as she exemplifies FOSI's mission," says Stephen Balkam, Chief Executive Officer of FOSI. "Her dedication and continued leadership has helped Nominum advance as an industry leader in technology and more importantly has made the Internet a better place."

Neou is also an avid writer, authoring several reference books including ActiveX Controls To Go, HTML 4.0 CD with JavaScript, Internet CD, and Internet Mailing List Navigator for Windows. She co-authored HTML CD for Windows, HTML CD with JavaScript for Macintosh, and HTML 3.2 CD with JavaScript for Windows 95.
