GREENWOOD, SC--(Marketwire - November 23, 2010) - The Flex-Tek Group of London-based Smiths Group P.L.C. today announced the promotion of Dave Oehlers to the position of Vice President and General Manager of its Construction Group Division, which includes Thermaflex and Gastite. Oehlers is a 17-year veteran of Smiths Group and has worked for the Flex-Tek Division for more than a decade.
Oehlers originally joined Smiths Group's SIMS Portex, in Fort Myers, Florida, in 1990, as the Director of Manufacturing. In 2001, he joined Flexible Technologies as the Director of California Operations in the Thermaflex Division. There, he was promoted to General Manager and subsequently to Director of Sales. In 2004, Oehlers was assigned additional responsibility for TUTCO sales. In 2006, he was promoted to VP, Sales for Flex-Tek's Heat Technology Division.
