Peab builds railway in Södertälje 

Peab has been commissioned to carry out two contracts at the double
track railway built between central Södertälje and the Port of
Södertälje. The customer is Swedish Transport Administration and the
contract amounts to SEK 177 million.
The Transport Administration builds the double track to increase the
punctuality of trains to / from Sodertalje, while built on the station
to increase accessibility.
The Peab's mission is to rebuild the station area at the Port of
Södertälje, with a new pedestrian tunnel and new platforms. The project
also includes the construction of three single-track bridges with
adjacent retaining walls.
Work will begin immediately and is expected to be completed in spring
