As keynote speaker, Stamford Police Chief Robert Nivakoff will address workplace violence prevention and the role of local police in the event of a workplace violence incident.
A study from the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health reports that more than 70% of US workplaces do not have a formal program or policy in place to address workplace violence. "Knowing that employees feel their jobs are more stressful today, it is not surprising that there has been a rise in workplace violence," said Dave Silvey, Vice President & General Manager for AlliedBarton Security Services.
