- Double-digit growth in November
Halle/Westphalia, 8 December 2010
The positive sales trend at the company stores continued through the first
month of the new financial year. November saw the Retail segment of GERRY
WEBER INTERNATIONAL AG generate sales of EUR 15.7 million, a 30 percent
increase in year-on-year terms. Domestic and international like-for-like
sales grew at a double-digit rate (+11 percent). Spain and Denmark showed
particularly gratifying growth of +14 percent and +23 percent,
respectively. 'Our collections meet the fashion needs of our customers
around the globe. In particular, our GERRY WEBER EDITION of coordinated
single-items achieved clear growth at our stores in November,' says CEO
Gerhard Weber.
With like-for-like growth coming in at +16%, a particularly positive trend
was in evidence at the SAMOON by GERRY WEBER und TAIFUN mono-brand stores.
'Our company is committed to continued dynamic growth of our own retail
operations. We plan to open a total of 65 new outlets at home and abroad
during the current financial year,' said Retail Manager Ralf Weber.'
