IASA and Ward Group Announce Opening of 2011 Technology Innovation Award for Submissions

DURHAM, NC and CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - December 15, 2010) - IASA, in partnership with Ward Group, is pleased to announce submissions are now being accepted for the 2011 Technology Innovation Award. This award, which presents a forum for insurance technology innovation recognition, will be given to the insurance company demonstrating the most innovative use of technology in product, service or overall project.

The Technology Innovation Award recognizes the successful implementation of an initiative where technology played a major part and "made a significant difference" to an insurance company's environment in terms of strategic direction, improved operational efficiency, increased revenue or other business initiative. Projects that defy tradition, including those that use older technologies in innovative ways, are excellent candidates for consideration. While the award mainly highlights achievements by an insurance company, a technology partner may also be recognized as playing a significant role in the project.

The Technology Innovation Award submission form can be downloaded from the IASA website at www.iasa.org. Submissions can be made by insurance companies, technology vendors or other interested parties, regardless of IASA membership until March 15, 2011. Submissions will be reviewed by an expert panel comprised of insurance industry analysts, consultants, media and insurance company professionals.

The 2011 Technology Innovation Award will be presented during the IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business in Nashville, Tennessee, June 5-8, 2011. Besides "bragging rights," the winner will receive a customized plaque, as well as industry media and press recognition through news releases. Additionally, the winning insurance company will receive one complimentary full conference registration for the 2012 IASA Educational Conference & Business Show, and a one-year IASA membership if the winner is a non-member.

Please mail completed applications to the IASA International Office, Attn: Gina Jolly, P.O. Box 51340, Durham, N.C. 27717, or email completed submissions to gjolly@iasa.org.
