Insurance & IT Executive Leslie Holden-Mikesell Joins ISCS as Vice President, Professional Services

New Hire to Direct Growth in Implementation Teams

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - December 16, 2010) -  ISCS, developer of the property/casualty insurance industry's modern, field-proven, end-to-end solution, the SurePower Innovation® Policy Administration Suite, is pleased to announce experienced property/casualty insurance and technology executive Leslie Holden-Mikesell has joined the company as vice president, professional services reporting directly to ISCS President Andy Scurto.

Holden-Mikesell most recently served as vice president, enterprise business solutions, at ICW Group Insurance Companies in San Diego, California, a 50-state-admitted, multi-line family of property/casualty insurance carriers providing workers' compensation, earthquake, and personal and business auto insurance. Selected as a Ward Group 50 Top-Performing Insurance Company in 2009, ICW's companies comprise Insurance Company of the West, Explorer Insurance, Company, and Independence Casualty and Surety Company. Holden-Mikesell brings to ISCS more than 20 years' experience in leadership roles delivering enterprise solutions and professional services consulting to Fortune 500, mid-size and start-up companies.

"Leslie comes to us with the right experience at the right time in ISCS's growth," said Andy Scurto, ISCS president. "She has the insurance industry executive experience to understand the business needs of our insurer clients, as well as repeated successes taking companies poised for growth like ISCS to the next level in implementation capacity. Her experience accurately assessing the complexities of software implementations, including the importance of partnership in change management, and the vision she has for knowing the high potential for competitive transformation that an insurer can achieve with today's technology are very valuable assets to ISCS and our current customer base. We are extremely pleased she has chosen ISCS as the next step in her already successful career."

Prior to ICW, Holden-Mikesell was with Silicon Space, LLC, building and leading teams that delivered custom application software for diverse clients such as Hewlett Packard, Intuit, Intel, Disney, Gateway, Union Bank of California and the U.S. Navy. At Silicon Space, she was also a key member of an executive team that spun off Covario, an online search engine optimization and marketing analytics company servicing Fortune 500 customers. Her early career includes positions at PeopleSoft (acquired by Oracle) and as a partner in a software company offering risk management solutions to the property and casualty insurance industry.

"I am equally excited to be part of ISCS's next phase in growth," said Holden-Mikesell. "Coming from the insurer side, I immediately saw that ISCS has significant differentiators in terms of product, people, and successful application of agile methodology processes to insurance projects that make the company's SurePower Innovation Policy Administration Suite a solid choice for insurers. These differentiators also explain why the interest in the company's full policy administration suite, as well as individual components such as claims-only, is increasing among insurers. I look forward to helping expand ISCS's capacity to add clients and contribute to an ongoing record of successful implementations."

Holden-Mikesell has extensive senior leadership experience that includes creating high-performing teams and leading teams of up to 200 members. She has built and led a multi-year business transformation program for insurance product implementation from the ground up to 80 team members, including developing the organizational structure and governance model. She has managed and implemented an enterprise project portfolio that delivered over 100 software product implementations and custom software integration solutions over three years with budgets totaling in the tens of millions. Further, she has led a 100-person consulting organization providing business process re-engineering, customer application software development, technology consulting and IT integration.

Insurance projects Holden-Mikesell has participated in cover a broad span, from insurance finance and accounting to claims management, business intelligence (BI), electronic content and document management (ECM), interfaces to internal legacy systems and third-party providers, policy administration implementation, auto point-of-sale implementation, underwriting system implementation, enterprise service cloud, as well as SOA and enterprise data model development. She received her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from West Texas A&M University, and today holds certifications in ITIL Framework and Foundation and is a Certified Scrum Master. She has been an active mentor to women in executive roles and was nominated for the Athena UCSD Connect Pinnacle Award.
