NASDAQ OMX Riga Management Board on its meeting of Decmeber 17, 2010, applied surveillance status to AS "Latvijas kuģniecīca"
On December 16, 2010 AS "Latvijas Kuģniecība" published announcement on the Exchange's information system about postponement of extraordinary shareholder meeting from December 17, 2010 to January 28, 2011; however, news agencies have disseminated information that the extraordinary shareholder meeting of "Latvijas kuģniecība" takes place today.
NASDAQ OMX Riga Listing and Disclosure rules Article 20.1.2, Subarticle 9, stipulates that Exchange can apply a surveillance status if other circumstances influencing the Issuer’s activity have occurred which may materially threaten the interests of the investors, and in cases when it is important to turn the attention of market participants to a substantial circumstance related to the relevant financial instrument or its Issuer;
The purpose of assigning surveillance status is to alert the market participants.
