Oak Valley Community Bank Announces Hiring and New Branch Opening in Manteca

OAKDALE, CA--(Marketwire - January 20, 2011) - Oak Valley Community Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oak Valley Bancorp (NASDAQ: OVLY), recently announced the upcoming opening of a new branch in Manteca. The office located at 191 W. North Street, near the intersection of North and Main, will be the Bank's fourth branch in San Joaquin County. The expected opening is May 2011.

"We are pleased with the opportunity to expand into Manteca and continue to open branches within our footprint," stated Ron Martin, Chief Executive Officer. "This location is yet another extension of our commitment to provide the utmost customer care and convenience for Central Valley families and businesses," concluded Martin.

Already aboard to begin developing business and serving the commercial banking needs of the community is longtime Manteca banking professional, John Coburn. After serving the Manteca community for over 40 years, Coburn has joined Oak Valley as SVP, Commercial Loan Officer.

Throughout his career, Coburn has been the consummate community-oriented citizen, serving on the Executive Board for the Boy Scouts of America and on the Board of Directors for Agape Village, Manteca/Lathrop Boys and Girls Club, Give Every Child a Chance, and Hope Shelter. He is also a member of Manteca Rotary, Manteca Chamber of Commerce, and has received the Chamber President's Outstanding Citizen Award.

Coburn received his education from Modesto Junior College and Pacific Coast Banking School. He and his wife Joan (Penny) have lived in Escalon for 20 years. Prior to that, they called Manteca home for over 15 years. When away from the office, John enjoys golf and spending time with his five adult children and his grandchildren.

"John is a great addition to the Bank. He is very well-known and respected in the community," stated Executive Vice President of Commercial Banking, Dave Harvey. "He shares our dedication and commitment to providing Central Valley families and businesses with a premier banking experience," Harvey concluded.

Oak Valley's Manteca branch will offer a full line of personal and commercial banking services, a traditional walk-up ATM, night deposit service, and safe deposit box availability. The branch will initially be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of adding Saturday hours at a later date.

Established in 1991, Oak Valley Community Bank operates through 12 convenient locations: Oakdale, Sonora, Turlock, Stockton, Patterson, Ripon, Escalon, two branches in Modesto, and three branches in their Eastern Sierra Division, which includes Bridgeport, Mammoth Lakes, and Bishop.

The Bank also announced plans earlier this year to open another Modesto location at the corner of McHenry and Sylvan Avenue. The new Modesto and Manteca locations will bring the Bank's branch total to 14.
