DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - February 1, 2011) -  The North Texas Small Business Alliance, led by Collin Small Business Development Center, will join the NFL and the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee to present the Business Leadership Forum, the culmination of a 14 month long business outreach initiative to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit which characterizes each Super Bowl region.

The Forum will be held at the Charles W. Eisemann Center in Richardson, Texas, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

This year's Forum will mark the introduction of the Impact Awards which honors small North Texas businesses that embody the Impact characteristics of Leadership, Innovation, and Social Responsibility (Impact Award Criteria).

Eve Clark, President/CEO of MEB Construction, not only installs concrete barriers, she's overcoming them -- that is, she's overcoming gender, racial and social barriers faced by female contractors in the construction industry.

Clark represents only ten percent of women who make up the industry. She is also African American.

"When I'm in the field, people can't believe that a woman, a woman of color, is in charge," she said. "For women of color it's even more difficult."

The contract with Cowboys Stadium enabled her to support other emerging businesses who face similar challenges.

"I believe in leading by example," Clark said. "If someone gives you an opportunity based on Diversity/Emerging status, I must do the same with any opportunities that I have."

Social Responsibility honoree, Margaret Palmer, uses her jewelry company to increase awareness about cancer other charitable causes. Palmer's Cancer Pearls Collection™ includes beautiful, conversation-starting jewelry that helps in the fight against cancer through education and fundraising.

Recently, NorthPark Center mall generously donated a retail storefront to her for the month of December. Palmer donated over $11,000 of her sales to benefit Children's Medical Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

North Park invited Palmer to reopen for the Super Bowl, from January 27 - Feb 15, 2011.
