Sandy McIntyre Appointed President of Sentry Investments

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 1, 2011) - John F. Driscoll, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sentry Investments, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandy McIntyre to the position of President. Mr. McIntyre will continue to guide the Investment Management team as Chief Investment Officer but will also be charged with leadership of the day-to-day operations of the business.

Since joining Sentry Investments in 2000, Mr. McIntyre has been instrumental to the company's success. Under his guidance, the Investment Management team received a TopGun Asset Management Team Award in March 2010, making Sentry one of only four firms in Canada to receive the honour from Brendan Wood International. As well, Mr. McIntyre and four members of the team were individually honoured with back-to-back TopGun Awards in 2009 and 2010. Mr. McIntyre has 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 20 years with Jones Heward Investment Management Inc., a subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal.
