Enterprise Rent-A-Car Named Preferred Supplier of Halifax 2011 Canada Games and Sapphire Sponsor

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 3, 2011) - Enterprise Rent-A-Car announced today that it is gearing up to take part in the Halifax 2011 Canada Games as the preferred car rental supplier and a Sapphire Sponsor. The Games, a key event in the development of Canada's young athletes, will take place February 11-27, 2011 in Halifax.

Held once every two years, alternating between winter and summer, the Canada Games represents the highest level of national competition for up and coming Canadian athletes. Last year, 61 per cent of medals won at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics were won by Canada Games alumni. The 2011 Games will be Halifax's first Canada Winter Games and will host more than 2,700 athletes competing in 20 sports.

"Enterprise Rent-A-Car is proud to be a sponsor of the Canada Games, an event that has enabled over 100,000 athletes to fulfil their dreams," said Andrew Feldman, vice president and general manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Halifax.

As the preferred car rental supplier of the Games, Enterprise Rent-A-Car will provide vehicles for host society members in addition to the rental cars used for visitors and friends and family of the athletes. As part of the Sapphire-level sponsorship, Enterprise Rent-A-Car will receive recognition at the Games headquarters, in the Games' newsletter, on the Canada Games website, and sponsor recognition boards throughout the event.

"Enterprise's sponsorship will help us deliver the Games. For 21 days, our motorpool will be supplemented with over 100 Enterprise vehicles," said John Rogers, 2011 Games board member and marketing and sponsorship division chair. "Volunteer drivers will transport major officials, VIPs, and medical staff to the multiple venues throughout HRM and beyond. Support from companies like Enterprise truly makes the Games possible."
