Klaus Kleinfeld, Chairman & CEO of Alcoa, to Keynote the Inaugural Aluminum Industry Summit

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 7, 2011) - On June 7th-8th, a remarkable cast of executives will meet in New York City for the inaugural Aluminum Industry Summit, supported by leading industry publications American Metal Market and Metal Bulletin.

Klaus Kleinfeld, chairman and chief executive officer of Alcoa Inc., will give the keynote address at the Summit, which will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing the aluminum industry. Another highlight will see Phil Martens, president and chief operating officer of leading rolled products producer Novelis, participate in a live one-on-one interview.

Steve Demetriou, chairman and chief executive of Aleris, Laurent Schmitt, chief executive of Aluminium Company of Bahrain, and Christel Bories, chief executive of Alcan Engineered Products, will sit on an executive panel to be chaired by former Rio Tinto Alcan chief executive, Dick Evans.

The two-day program will cover global aluminum supply chain from alumina to end-use and will feature speakers and panelists that include 14 chief executives and presidents.

Other aluminum producers to be represented include Rusal, Norsk Hydro and Dubai Aluminium who will be joined by aluminum rollers and extruders such as JW Aluminum, Sapa and Bonnell Aluminium. The Summit will also here from key end user such as Ball Corp., General Motors and Boeing.
