Combating Population Decline on Valentine's Day: East Side Mario's Determined to Start the Next Baby Boom and Sets Up Marriage Proposal Station

NORTH VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 8, 2011) - Family restaurant East Side Mario's in the family-friendly Lonsdale Quay Market is concerned for the decrease in new families. The restaurant is committed to promoting the growth of new families, and has partnered with other shop owners of Lonsdale Quay Market to take the step of creating a Marriage Proposal Station.

As an inducement to encourage wedding engagements and long-term commitment, East Side Mario's and Lonsdale Quay Market will be rewarding success with prizes, and a cold fish will go to some unlucky recipient of a cold shoulder.

The station is anticipated to be very busy starting Saturday, February 12, and couples are encouraged to come early.

Successful proposals will be entered to win prizes, to include overnight stays at the Lonsdale Quay Hotel, Vancouver Canucks tickets, East Side Mario's gift certificates, jewellery, Lonsdale Quay Market gift certificates, and much more.

Declined offers of marriage will be entered into a draw to win a cold fish!

The Marriage Proposal Station will be open Saturday, February 12 & 13, from 1-5pm, and February 14, from 3-7pm.

The prize draw will take place February 15, at 9am.

Media interest has been brisk, and East Side Mario's will accommodate media with media-friendly stations and materials.
