Opcon signs co-operation agreement with MAN Diesel & Turbo

Opcon, the energy and environmental technology Group, has signed a
co-operation agreement with MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, the world-leading
manufacturer of diesel engines that has around 12,700 employees. The
agreement covers marine applications for Opcon Powerbox technology.

The purpose of the agreement is to exploit opportunities to combine
Opcon's technology for increased energy efficiency and production of
electricity from waste heat with MAN Diesel & Turbo's market-leading
diesel engines for reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions.

Opcon is presently working on a reference installation together with
Wallenius Marine, which is also supported by the Swedish Energy Agency,
on a MAN B&W 8S60ME-C8 engine.

A part of Opcon's focus on Waste to Value, Opcon Powerbox is Opcon's
proprietary product for production of carbon-free electricity using
primarily waste and surplus heat starting at temperatures of 55° C.
Opcon Powerbox can be installed at plants in the process industry, power
plants and on large diesel engines both at land and on sea. Opcon
Powerbox can produce up to 6,000 MWh per year.
