The Group’s sales in January increased by 9% compared to the same period last year. Euro adoption has not significantly affected advertising clients’ plans, but consumers have become more cautious than last year when buying newspapers.The biggest growth was in the online media segment where the sales increased by 43.4%. Delfi Lithuania and Delfi Latvia were the largest contributors to the growth. The periodicals segment decreased by 2.2%. Advertising sales of Õhuleht, Ajakirjade Kirjastus and Group’s Lithuanian magazine publisher increased, the last-named increased its advertising revenue by 100% compared to the same period previous year. The printing services segment continued to grow, being 9.1% better than last year. As the printing house is running at its full capacity, sales increase is only possible in the months of lower activity.
