AltiGen Announces Availability of MaxMobile for BroadSoft's BroadWorks Platform

BARCELONA, SPAIN--(Marketwire - February 16, 2011) - Mobile World Congress - AltiGen Communications, Inc. (OTCQX: ATGN) (PINKSHEETS: ATGN), a leading provider of software-based Unified Communications solutions, today announced the completion of interoperability testing of its new Unified Mobile Convergence (UMC) solutions for the BroadSoft® BroadWorks® platform.

AltiGen's MaxMobile UMC suite is a software based, next generation mobile convergence solution for fixed line and mobile network service providers. MaxMobile UMC delivers Unified Communications and PBX features to smartphone devices. Built to seamlessly integrate with BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform, MaxMobile runs as a native application on all popular smartphone platforms, including iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and (in 2Q11) Windows Phone 7 devices. In addition, the new MaxMobile Web Client provides users with a feature rich desktop Unified Communications client, enabling the smartphone to be used as the single converged business phone.

"Our heritage as a leading developer of software-based PBX solutions is a distinct advantage in the emerging mobile convergence market due to our understanding of the full scope of business communications requirements," said Jerry Fleming, AltiGen Communications, Inc.'s President and CEO. "We believe delivering a complete suite of integrated business communications applications through our interoperability with BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform uniquely enables service providers to offer a Unified Mobile Convergence solution which leverages the explosive growth of smartphones in business, while replacing the need for separate fixed line desktop telephones and business PBX systems."

"We believe the growth of high speed wireless broadband networks, such as LTE, is driving the adoption of smartphones as a business communications device," said David Bukovsky, Vice President of Product Management, BroadSoft. "AltiGen's new UMC solutions, combined with BroadSoft's BroadWorks platform, will give telecommunication service providers the ability to provide a variety of business communication services to mobile devices."

As a leading business process services company distributing IT solutions to resellers throughout North America, SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) is the primary North American distribution partner for the MaxMobile UMC suite. According to Peter Larocque, President of U.S. Distribution at SYNNEX Corporation, "Mobile convergence represents a strategic business focus for SYNNEX. As part of this initiative, SYNNEX is assembling a best of breed portfolio of solutions and services. AltiGen's ability to leverage both BroadWorks and Microsoft Lync Server provides the ideal mobile convergence solution to drive through our reseller channel."
